Qatar National Day
Qatar National day is one day of celebrating with pride all that makes Qatar special. From 8 o’clock in the morning until midnight and later, Qatari’s attend official Ceremonies.
The Emir and the Prime ministers join together in royal seating to watch the armed forces, Lekwiya, Al-Fazza, Navy, Air Force, Haras Al-Emiri and police parade. The Emir invites many important people both from Qatar and around the world to watch the events. Adults and children come from all over the city of Doha, dressed in maroon and white with painted faces to match the Qatari flag.
The Emir wants to encourage children to be part of the day and so they dress army uniforms and follow on in a small parade.
